Scoil Naomh Eoin is a Catholic Primary school provided for the education of children from the Navan area. Scoil Naomh Eoin will endeavour to communicate the Christian vision of human life.
“To Be the Best that you can Be” has been the guiding principle of Scoil Naomh Eoin since it opened in 2003.
In Scoil Naomh Eoin, we aim to create:
- A school where all children are valued and respected.
- A welcoming, happy, caring, secure and challenging environment in which every child is able to develop to his or her full potential.
- A place where children are taught how to think rather than what to think.
- An environment where children can answer questions and question answers freely.
- To create a school that celebrates and cherishes diversity.
Our purpose is to guide and support each child in all aspects of his/her education and development. This includes promoting not only academic success but also self-esteem, confidence and personal responsibility. A key element of our ethos is respect “Expect respect in all you do”. “Treat others as you would like them to treat you” is one of the key rules in Scoil Naomh Eoin.
We are a very new community here and we aim to make the school a central and focal place for parents, children, local clubs and community based projects,
We aim to create a centre of excellence in education with high academic standards, high expectations, whilst fostering the emotional intelligences of children.
We aim to foster and develop in each child through living and co-operating with others, the following traits and values: love, trust, honesty, truth and self discipline.
We aim to make the child aware of God’s presence in our lives-and prepare the children for the sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation.
