Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is an exciting week for us all. An airplane towing a banner reading ‘SKY IS THE LIMIT’ will circle over the roof of the school at mid-day Wednesday 26th October. Everyone in Navan will be able to see the plane as it circles over the roof of the school. All of the children are busily creating artwork to display on the day.Â
During the takeoff at Weston, live footage will be relayed to the school and projected in the hall where the children will watch the airplane’s progress on a large projection. The school will then gather outside to greet the plane with a colourful display as the banner flies overhead.
SKY IS THE LIMIT is a celebration of education and an embrace of the limitless potential of children’s minds. The event sets out to foster this sense of creativity in the daily running of the school. In a time when society is facing may problems and challenges, this artwork strikes a positive stance and outlook for the future. It offers the children a light hearted point of departure for their personal explorations of the world. Large photographs of the event will be installed throughout the school after the event.
Our mid-term starts next Monday 31st October to Friday 4th November inclusive. Our annual Witches Walk takes place next Friday (more details during the week). All monies collected from sponsorship cards will be spent to benefit your children’s education.
We are still overawed by our spacious, beautiful new surroundings. There is a great atmosphere of calm and hard-work around the school. All children are expected to ‘Be the Best they can be’. This is reflected in the high standard in our academic work.
Remember to park at the swimming pool when dropping off and picking up your children.  The school grounds are for set down only. Thank you for your co-operation.
Please detach and sign this consent form on behalf of your child(ren) and return to school    tomorrow 25th inst..
Yours sincerely.,
Mary McMahon, Principal.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
To celebrate Hallowe’en, we are having our ‘Sponsored Witches Walk’ on Friday 28th of October. Children are encouraged to dress up in costume and will display their outfits during their walk.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and families for their continued support in fundraising for Scoil Naomh Eoin. We are delighted to be in our fantastic new school and we know your children are too.
Each child has received a sponsorship card. The money raised will go towards building upon our bank of resources for our new school. All completed cards will be entered in a prize draw for the children.
Children will be having a Halloween party on the day and may bring in some sweets, crisps and lollies (no chocolate or nuts please); these can be given to class teacher at any time. Children will have finished their Witches Walk by 12 noon on the Friday and parents are permitted to take their children home thereafter.
Many thanks for your continued co-operation and I would like to wish you all a ‘Happy Halloween’.
Yours sincerely,
Mary Mc Mahon,
Principal.

Dear Parents,
We are settling very well into our beautiful new school.  As promised, parents may visit the school next week at designated times.  You will get a tour of our school facilities and also get a chance to see your own child’s classroom.  As so many people are making requests to view our school, I would ask all parents to invite at least 2-3 prospective parents from their area who have young children to visit with them.
Your children are benefitting greatly from all the facilities particularly our spacious hall and interactive white boards. Â They were very excited to have Seamus Kenny, the Meath Captain, coaching them throughout the week.
Our Junior Infants are well settled in and we are all delighted with our new, fantastic facilities.  Last week, we invited last year’s Sixth Class and other past pupils and their parents to plant trees around our school and they were very impressed by our new surroundings.
Looking forward to seeing you all next week,
Yours sincerely,
Mary McMahon,
Principal.
