9th September 2011.
Dear Parents,
This is a wonderful week for us. When I saw the expressions of wonder and amazement on the faces of children, parents and staff, it made all the hard work of the past few years worthwhile. As you can imagine, the weeks of the summer were hectic and the pressure was mounting as each day passed. Our new school building has surpassed all our expectations.
Thank you for sending your children to school looking so well. There is a very strong work ethic in Scoil Naomh Eoin and I expect all children to work hard and “be the best they can be”. The staff is committed to high standards and will also provide extra-curricular activities.
Please park in the top car park of the swimming pool – it is only short walk to the school from there. You may drive in around the school and allow children out at the set down areas. No cars are to park in the school. The safety of the children is paramount.
We will arrange viewing of the school as soon as possible. I look forward to your help and support during the year and I can assure you that we will continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of your child’s education.
School starts at 8.50 am. It is acceptable to be at school from 8.40 am.
Yours sincerely,
Mary McMahon,
Principal.
